I moved out finally!

Yeah so after a year's worth of anticipation and worry, Trisha (my cousin), Rachel, and myself live in our own townhouse. It's so hard to get into one of these suckers, since they're more oriented to people with families and children, however between my mother's cleverness in finding loopholes in the system, and my clean record, good references and perfect credit score we actually pulled it off. Just the fact that it was three college aged girls moving into one place, in my mind, would have seemed to have been enough to have kept us from qualifying, however the housing law states that landlords cannot discriminate against someone due to age (well and also a whole slew of other things). It was $7,600 down (keep in mind these aren't apartments), but my mother had that covered, and now we're all moved in and everything. We haven't had the housewarming party yet, haven't really had the time, we also wanted to wait awile so the neighbors could get used to us and to give us time to put more stuff in the house. The house itself is two stories with a basement (for muh hobbit, Wachoe), two bedroom, one full bath with heat, water, garbage, and lawn maintenence included for only $377 a MONTH. It's madness, I know, since most kids my age have rent upwards of $550, alot of times for only a one or two bedroom unless they live in Detroit, and split between friends. In two years these townhouses are being paid off (and this is the amazing part right here) because they have a HUD (government) mortgage, it's one that all of the members have been slowly paying off for 30 years through rent money, and once they are paid off the tenants actually OWN their home, like real condos. I'm excited.
