Steeeeeeeve! :-)

Um, right, Berlin gig:-)

Sooo long ago already! Loved that I could room with nairie again, and met nebulein and luthien82! How we managed to discuss Avengers without Lu spoiling us, I don't know. But it was fun! :-)

Gig itself was fun as usual! No stomach bug, yay! *g* Let's see what I remember...

I was at the ticket desk and sold raffle tickets, and therefore saw a lot of people I only knew online before. That's awesome! :-)

During the Q&A I zoned out a bit - I guess the adrenaline had worn off... the boys talked and seemed in a good mood though. I'm sure someone else has a set list, and I can't for my life remember if the bits and pieces I recall happened during the Q&A or during the gig itself, so I'll just throw them out in no particular order:

Definitely during the gig there was the sound of a squeaking baby immediately after the song was finished. Steve asked "Is there a baby in the house???" like he couldn't believe it. And indeed there was! And it was very comfortable. Slept through half of the gig. *g* As a matter of fact, it had been there last year too, just... well, still in mommy's belly! And I'd say we have the youngest Steve fan ever. And a very talented one - the squeak was not only in time but also in tune with the melody!

On the subject of cover songs: Steve said that he covers songs that he wished he had written himself. And that he was once asked to sing "Hero" by Mariah Carey. And I couldn't quote his answer, but it was a less polite form of "uh, that's not really my style". *g*

The story about "Chloe bowed her head" had us in stitches. Chloe was a real girl who had hit on Steve, staring at him, giving him her number and so on. Hey, easiest date ever! So he called her, and they went for a trip to... Ojaj? And well, it was a full moon, and there was a church with a red light, and Chloe saw it and said "Oh, let's pray." and went inside. And Steve was like "WTF???" and while she was inside, he whispered lyrics and all into his phone. The date... well, didn't last. *g*

Lyrics... oh, the subject of endless giggles. Steve: "Can't fight the moonlight. What does that even MEAN?" Followed by a hilarious rendition by him and Jonah, and followed by what was even worse: "Rhythm is gonna get you, rhythm is gonna geeet you..."

There were three things that suddenly made Wasted Jamie an awesome song again. Not that it isn't an awesome song in itself, but... well, overused? But not like this. First, we had the Merch Table WJ Choreography. If you haven't seen this, you've missed out. *g* Then, for whatever reason, Steve decided to use his Neil Diamond voice on the song. "Önd when Sonday cohms aloong, oi'll be tröv'ling on..." It was a spot on parody, and I almost fell off my chair laughing. Cue lyrics change to "I'm fuckin' groovin' on the inside with wasted Jamie..." and the whole club cracked up. WJ will never be the same!

As I said, I was the Gypsy's Raffle Queen that night. And "Fading Away" will now always be the raffle ticket song. I have to admit, it's the one Steve song that really leaves me "meh". I don't really like it. So when he started playing it, I decided to go to the smoker's room where I had stashed my water and some chocolate, and have a snack, since I felt a little dizzy. So I munch on my choco bar, sip my water, idly listen to Fading Away, and stare at the raffle ticket box. Until halfway through the song, my subconsciousness provided me with the fact that the ticket stubs were still glued together on one side. I stare at the box, wide-eyed, and go "fuuuuuuuu...!!!!" swallow chocolate, put away water, and frantic tearing off of ticket stubs followed. Luckily nairie decided to check in on me, and helped. And when the song was over, we were ready. Phew! :-)

Speaking of The Raffle. This here?

Happens when you let Steve loose with a sharpie. Photographic proof of an NC-17 rubber duckie that was raffled off later. But you see why I HAD to take a picture of it, yes? *g*

Due to a fuck-up at the club (not our fault!!) we had to move the autograph session to the smoking room. Me, giving out post it notes for personalized autographs, and then running around like a headless owl when *someone* suddenly decided that oh yes, good idea, everyone must have one in order to get a personal auto... yay... *lol*

And the next time we ask someone to stop smoking, because Steve asks us to, and that someone does not obey and makes snide comments, I will personally extinguish that cigarette with the content of my water bottle. Just. Sayin'. *smiles sweetly*

Heh. And I got my pic from Con1 signed with a "Great Shot!" comment. And my photo op pic from Con1 got a "Nipples..." comment. Steve, check your shirt before someone takes a pic...? On second thought, don't. No one is complaining. :-)

Sadly I had to leave Thursday evening, but at least this time I could meet up with Naddy and the Petting Zoo for lunch. I got to meet Eliot The Cat, who is the most awesome cat ever, and we had a good few hours of nice food and a lot of gossip:-)

As I was way in the back of the club, I only took a few pics. Freaking red stage lights. *grumbles* Here they are:

And while I'm at it: HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE!!!

Have a few pics from the Birthday Boy! All taken by me, at Vampire Ball 2010, and Asylum/Con1 2011. Please ask before using/sharing. Thanks!
