I've been *not* watching my favourite tv shows for three months and now that Christmas holidays have come, I thought I'd better get back to them and then comment on them with you! I know it's not the same as watching the episodes as they're released, but it's still something, right? At least we can speculate on and wait for the episodes to come!
Supernatural
This half season is not the best half season ever - but I still devoured the episodes as soon as I had the time. A couple of episodes were just amazing, like "Changing Channels" or "The Curious Case Of Dean Winchester" that made me laugh my ass off (and drool a lot because of Hal Ozsan <3), or the #06 with Jesse, which is a great new character and I just hope we're seeing him again. They should do a spin-off on him, trufax. Since there weren't any big surprises in the latest episodes, I'm not making any comment on the quality of the plot of this season, though I have to admit I can feel we're going straight to the end of it. Don't know if SPN's gonna have a 6th season, but it's as clear as the sunlight that Mr. Kripke is setting up his own awesome ending. I was sorry for the way Jo and Ellen were treated, though. They disappeared for the whole season and then they popped out again, just to be killed in that same episode. It's just sad. P.s. Don't send Mark Pellegrino away, pretty please, not yet.
The Vampire Diaries
Just kidding, guys. It's ok to support Dean/Sam, but we shouldn't exaggerate on opening the way to incest. I was just trying to say how hot I think these two vampires are! I find it slightly annoying that TVD kind of "inspired" the Twilight saga (poor Meyer, her days of glory are over), but I can affirm this is the best tv show of this fall among the newbies.
Damon's got "SEXY" written in capitals all over his body and Stefan's the cutest guy ever (I think I fell for his name too!). I find also Bonnie very nice, while Elena is a sort of pain in the ass, as well as Caroline who won't stop flirting with boys that are WAY over her. The slasher inside me still longs for some more Stefan/Matt scenes, for we haven't seen any since the very first episodes. Great success for the vampires (again) then, now we only have to wait for the wolves to come. We can only move up on "the awesome" scale \o/
Gossip Girl
I was glad to see GG gained back its old splendour in a few episodes from the start. I have to admit I found it boring in September, but 3 months away from Chuck and Nate had their effect on me. I devoured the missing 9 episodes in 2 days, and I still want more.
The feeling's that Serena's probably being hated by 90% of the watchers by now for her incredible ability of putting herself into (stupid) trouble...but I still love her more and more. It's probably all thanks to Blake's handsomeness. I would marry that girl if only A) I wasn't straight B) she didn't perfectly match Penn Badgley already. And YAY for Vanessa too, she got cuter and cuter over the whole season, especially after that Scott boy left town. And a huge YAY goes to Chuck and Blair, of course! I'm so happy Schwarz didn't destroy our romantic expectations over them (yet)!
Anyways, I'm still expecting some major spoiler over Jenny being victim of a terrible accident or following Miss Georgina Sparks on her way to Liechtenstein (is it there where she went?), 'cause I can't stand her childish behaviour anymore. Not that I've ever stood her, but she was just all emo and pathetic last season, I pitied her. Now that she's the head of the mean girls of Constance, I just can't stand her success. AndshefuckingwenttothefuckingdebutantesballwithfuckingNate,DAMMIT. As to Hilary Duff/Olivia, whom I was eager to see on action as much as I hated her, she wasn't totally bad, but only because she was temporary. She was so not fit for Dan - though I have to say i appreciated the threesome idea (BTW, who else thinks the episode with that GaGa related musical was totally awesome????) and this leads us to talk about Dan/Vanessa. I'd like to hear what you think of it, guys. Is it the usual 'turnover of season based on creating new-but-old mixtures of characters', or is it the final step which we all were waiting for from many seasons? I mean, I didn't ship Dan/Vanessa in the 1st season for obvious reasons (s1!Dan/s1!Serena FTW) but right now I think Dan and Vanessa are awesome - taken either separately or together. Especially together. They're a great couple of friends after all, and I myself believe that from the greatest friendships the greatest love stories are originated.
I also need to point out I was in love with Trip/Serena for a couple of episodes. I happened to find myself obsessed with Trip just like Serena did, all of a sudden, and I started to REALLY pray for them to get together. Which happened, though with unexpected disappointing results. Because on Gossip Girl people are never what they look like - and that's how I found myself shipping Serena/Nate, one time for all.
Heroes
Is it me who stayed away too long from my fandoms and lost my mind, or this 5th volume of Heroes really kicks ass? I find it so captivating! It's all thanks to Samuel and to the amazing job Robert Knepper is doing with him, probably. The Carnival's dimension is fascinating, and so is the compass. All those confrontations inside Matt's mind between Sylar and him made me laugh my ass off! They were brilliant! And Claire looks so good and not only irresponsible this time. I thought they were gonna make a mess with the kiss-with-Gretchen thing, but luckily they kept a low profile and didn't cross the line. Sylar's made of awesome as usual, and Peter is too. It was sad to see Nathan go (I hope they're not gonna bring him back with some stupid excuse) cause he's been a complex character, full of contradictions, but it was him who made "Heroes" reach its 5th volume. In fact I don't think they're going further with the show: what else could they ever make up without Nathan? LOL Tracy is also very cute, I was hoping
in some deeper Noah/Tracy relationship, but Lauren is fine as well. I think the authors have got this thing with blonds. Have you noticed that the 90% of the actresses who made it through more than one season or a single arc of episodes are blond (except for that Angela "pain in the ass" Petrelli)? it's fine for me though, since I'm having the same blond thing as well. Oh, dear, one day or another I fear I'm going to have the hairdresser dye my hair.
Glee
This show ROCKS big time and there wasn't a single episode which made me change my mind. This first half of season has been epic, though I think they developed the plot too slowly to make it fit in THIRTEEN EPISODES. And despite being eager to see more Will/Emma scenes and hear some more brilliant songs, I don't know what to expect as to the plot. Is Will's (ex) wife coming back for revenge, maybe in alliance with Sue? Are Finn and Rachel getting together as I hope?
About Rachel, it was a bit sad to see that the guys from Glee club hate her - or better, envy her. I don't know if she's actually annoying to a big part of the audience too, I just know I ADORE her. She's cute and she's got this big big heart - and this big big voice. I bet Lea Michele's going to gain some more popularity from Glee, cause she's really great. I think we can expect her to release some CDs or to work at the theaters. She definitely deserves a spotlight. And then, since I'm always swimming against the mainstream, I can't understand all of this excitement about Quinn and Puck. In the very beginning, when we'd just found out the truth about them, I used to support them so desperately cause I wanted Finn to be with Rachel. But then, episode by episode, I saw how both Quinn and Puck acted, not only with each other, and I just despised them. I think they both deserve to be alone. I just pity Quinn for her situation, I respect her for admitting her mistakes - but loving her, or shipping her with Puck? I think they both got what they deserved, and I guess I need more time to forgive them, and possibly wish them a happy future together.
Grey's Anatomy
I mean, REALLY? I don't know what's going on with it, I don't know if I have a problem, but - Grey's is boring. It was so hard to get through the episodes... Everyone's cute and the patients are cute and the love stories will give me diabetes, but really? Is that all you can offer? Grey's has always rocked because of a great amount of drama, and now the best thing they can give us is a drunk boring Chief of Surgery. Izzie's being a ass, too, and I beg Shonda to please make Alex be not miserable anymore. That guy's been the bitch of the show, he's been through too much, he deserves some permanent happiness. Lucky us, Miranda's shaking things up a little. Episode 10 was great mostly thanks to her. I reckon Grey's should have ended with George's death, 'cause I feel like there are no more tales to tell.
Private Practice
I really missed this tv show! It's wonderful! I'm in love with all of the characters, there's not a single one I don't like, from Naomi to Dr Fife and even to Charlotte, which I used to hate and now I admire. They've truly become a big family, and they're my big family! I reckon Addie needs a guy, I mean, the serious one, not just a crush for the season, and Sam might be just perfect for her, unless they screw up before 3rd season's over. I beg Shonda to give us more Pete/Violet, though, cause the Lucas' thing's just heartbreaking and I can't wait for seeing them altogether as a happy family. Dr Fife and Naomi look good as a couple as well, and I'm sure Charlotte and Cooper will get over their issues very soon. Everything's perfect! Let's hope it lasts.
