I've reached the end of New Moon. I am so excited that I would start reading Eclipse right now if I had it in my hands. Breaking Dawn is coming out in a few weeks and I will hurry up in order to read it as soon as it gets out.
I was surprised by this book: the first half of it was quite boring, I've spent almost a week reading it. The second half was so exciting that I've read it all in a day - today.
No doubt that Edward would come back - how would Stephenie Meyer carry on other 2 books if not? :D - and I'm sorry about Jacob and how things went. There was nothing Bella could do to avoid this. Jacob and Edward are natural enemies, and not just because one is a vampire and the other a lyncan. They both love the same girl and they would have been one against another even if they weren't special. Anyway, about the great piece of news of this book (Bella's transformation): I don't know what to think. I don't know whether to be happy for Bella or not.
Somehow I am - I am curious about how things would change after her transformation, or what Meyer could tell us about Bella and Edward's new life together. You know, I'd be glad if they could spent an eternity together, being the same apparent age, and Bella shouldn't worry of growing up and getting older.
Besides, I feel guilty for this happiness when I think of Edward. I know, this is stupid, he's only a character, but he is the most important one - and his feelings are worth more than his whole family's votes. Moreover, it seems too easy to become a vampire. You know a vampire, luckily he is in love with you, and zac! here you are, a truly (non)living vampire. C'mon, let's dance and celebrate! It doesn't work like that. Bella doesn't deserve to become a vampire, only because she loves one of them. She is dangerous in any way possible, and I guess Cullens would be happy to have her as a vampire in order not to worry anymore. I am so confused about this thing. At least I'm happy they decided to wait until graduation. i will have time to think about this and finally understand what I really want to happen :)
Eventually, tell me: when Edward left Bella (the "new moon" scene, just to be clear), was he searching for a proof of her love? Did he really mean to leave her, or was it her unexistent reaction to make him decide to leave? When Edward and Bella found each other again and he explained his reasons to her, I got even more confused than I was. And these are the results :D I'd be so shocked if I found out that Edward left because he didn't see Bella react as if he really mattered to her. That would be the biggest joke of this century, and I would throw Stephenie Meyer together with her stupid book out of the window. U_U xD
Aww, it's not over yet. I haven't talked much about Jacob yet. Now i understand why some of my friends had said I would hate Edward and love Jacob in "New Moon". Jacob is described as Bella's savior, as the good guy who can fill the emptiness left by Edward. I really like this guy now, he's really changed from "Twilight", but I can't ship Jacob/Bella even now, I'm sorry. They were good friends, and that's it. For some time, I thought I would be able to forget Edward and start again with Jacob - as Bella would do. But when Edward came back, it was like I went through a new shiny day. Bella's heart and mine were beating again. I am sorry for Jacob, he truly and sincerely loves Bella, but Edward and Bella's love cannot be destroyed or diminished by Jacob's feelings. He will always be the damned-good-guy, and the best friend. Not the lover.
