Main House, Room 6 Sunday evening

It had been a long trip. Traveling the ocean by boat always was. Eleanor found herself wishing that her England would start using planes for travel, much like this country did.

But that would probably be a while in coming. The war was at its end, finally, thankfully, but it would take some time yet for rebuilding. England and a good many of the European nations had many other concerns at the moment.

It had been nice to see everyone again. Sarah was doing well, making a nice side business of selling herbs, teas and other poltices. Lady Virginia had gotten further involved in the suffrage rights movement, and Reggie ... well, he took to the news of Eleanor having a boyfriend rather well. He admitted that it would be good for her to experience a relationship before settling down with him. There seemed no doubt that they would marry some day.

Eleanor just wasn't sure if she wanted to.

Otherwise, he was doing well. The injuries from their confrontation with Alison had completely healed, except for the leg of course. He would always require the use of a cane and have a limp for the rest of his life.

She went about unpacking her things, thinking. A candle flame flickered as the Salamander wound around it.

(open!)
