I'm doing the please-entertain-me! trawl for fic, and so I've been branching further afield in my reading than I otherwise might.
...I really dislike Author Notes at the end of a chapter for anything other than explicating the chapter itself - translations, references etc are fine, but thanks for reviews and apologies for mistakes are so offputting. I don't want to watch the sausage being made while I'm eating it, you know?
