after months and months of dissatisfaction, i finally got the haircut i want. faye is my new angel. i knew the last girl didn't know how to find my curls. *sigh* i knew what she was trying to do, but the style only looked good when i straightened my hair. which happens only about every three months. she somehow sensed there were some asian genes in me, but it's pretty clear i don't have that gorgeous, strong silk for hair that the rest of my asian sisters do, and therefore she should have known better. another obvious lesson learned.
but faye knew just what to do. i'd known a few gals who liked kate at the same salon - edo in the lower haight - but being the impulsive brat that i am, i just couldn't wait for an appointment. faye just lightened it up, got a bit more sophisticated with the layers, and cut my locks in a way that really encourages the curls to come out. i told her i needed a cut that would basically stay sculpted as it grows out. i think she accomplished what i thought before was the impossible. yay for that.
http://www.edosalon.com/ breathing sighs of contentment and relief, i fully endorse this woman. she is an artist!
