Tonight we took the car to dinner. Put the top down to drive home. Got home, and it won't go up again. Tried all kinds of ways, finally gave up and tried to put it up manually, and the tool they give you for the purpose is so cheap and crappy it bent as soon as Chris tried to crank the roof closed. So now the damn thing is sitting in our driveway with the roof propped closed, but not latched, under a goddamn tarp. Maybe tomorrow we can get the fucking assholes who sold it to us to come and haul it away, but I doubt it, which means I have to deal with it Monday. And it fucking has to go to fucking CARY, which is an hour and a half away. And then we can try and fail to get me a rental car on a Sunday here in BFE.
I'm so ready to get rid of it. I kind of hate it at this point.
What's $35,000 or less, somewhat fun, not big, not an SUV, and RELIABLE? At this point I'm willing to trade some cuteness and zippiness in a car for not being afraid it's going to fucking come apart every time I turn it on.
