In Asheville. STUCK in Asheville. Something happened to my transmission for no apparent reason. Had to be towed here from the middle of nowhere. The car is under warranty, but that doesn't get me home tonight, does it? Oy. Audi = bad electrical, yes? Isn't that the rule of thumb? And the transmission is electrically-manipulated? SUCK. I'm so sorry, Marisa!

I'm trying to remember how it was with my dad's TT, I think that they had a few hiccups early and then eventually (a year in? 2 years in?) they stopped having issues. Not that that helps you feel better, but just saying. The problems, er, ceased for him. Eventually.

I am so over it. The brand and the car. I'd like to never see the damn thing again, but that isn't financially reasonable. You remember that it had that scary fuel tank issue when I first got it, and I was pretty upset, but they fixed it and I tried to get past it . . . but it looks like I was right to be distrustful. If I ever get the damn car back, I'm never going to take the fucking thing more than an hour from home again, which is just pathetic for a car that's supposed to be "nice." But what choice do I have? They knew I was stranded 300 miles from home and the Audi dealership didn't even offer me a phone to call a damn cab. Worst. customer. service. ever. They were going to put me literally out on the street at 5:30 when they closed. I had to call Chris on my cell so that he could look up the number and get me a rental car by calling Thrifty from freaking Jacksonville.

oho Marisa, I'm sorry! Car troubles piss me off so much, especially in a new (and supposedly nice!) car. Crap happens to cars, but the customer service you described is completely uncalled for. I'd def write a letter to the owner/manager of the dealership.

I cant believe they didnt offer you a loaner. I thought that was standard w/ the upper end brands as a way to not only say thanks, but to get you to buy the next new model....
