To be fair, I may have exaggerated slightly. The door is just cracked a couple inches so the drain hose can run out it, and I stuffed a folded up sheet in it so my heater wouldn't be running nonstop. But it is still open and unlocked and fairly unsecure feeling. /scary
All the good stuff is still tentative, unfortunately. The job is sounding good though. My mom does medical transcription for a private company that contracts with the hospitals around here, and she's been friends with the owner for years, and she (the owner) sounds like she's ready to hire me, but she still has to clear it with a couple other people, so I don't know. But it will be super awesome if it comes through!
(The taxes depend on whether or not various debtors will get to the refund first, which happened last year, and the beach depends on whether or not we will get enough money first, which will probably have to come from the taxes. So it may all fall through still. Blah.)
I tried to keep receipts and see if we could come out better with itemized deductions this year, but the standard was still higher. Is yours all complicated stuff where you don't just have like a regular W-2 and all? Ignore that, it's pretty nosy - you don't need to tell me your financial details. Sorry, I'm all high from taking drugs to combat cold weather hand aches and bad moods and all. Well, I sort of asked because apparently I'll have to pay my own taxes monthly with the transcription job, like a self-employed thing or something.
I'm going to look at this in the morning and not remember typing it.
