on the edge
Out here on the city's edge, twixt-and-between. Sunset, just after balance day, waxing moon.
Freeway is right there,& on the other side, the bay, and a straight shot to the sea.
Land fill, a dump, now a 'nature preserve'---thirty years of dog walkers and 'urban campers', now fenced out, to 'protect' the critters that moved in, *while* that was happening.
---Saw a young sea-lion today----like seeing a mountain lion, but no one views it that way. A big predator swims past,& no one blinks an eye.
