What Can We Expect from Joss Whedon? You know, I never thought of the speculative criticism of works not yet created as an academic discipline.

I've heard of Man in the High Castle and keep telling myself to check it out, but I keep forgetting. Someday, I'll get to it.

Here's another book coming out next month that might be worth checking out. When it was first announced at the MST3K Info Club, I and a few others expressed serious reservations. On my part, I had been burned by In the Peanut Gallery and was leery of an academic approach to the show. However, I changed my mind and put it on preorder when the author responded to it with good humor ( ... )

If you watch Man in the High Castle soon, you can vote on it to be developed into a series. My fingers are crossed; I'd love to see more of it.

Oooh, thanks for the heads up on The Comic Galaxy of Mystery Science Theater 3000! I'm glad to hear the author's response suggests it will be good.

That's a shame about In the Peanut Gallery. :( It sounds awful.

Not to disparage your profession, but academia has more than its fair share of pompous jackasses.

I have not read the MARS books. But I may have to now!And I had not even heard of 'The Man in the High Castle'. Hm!
