Right. So the
cast of Star Wars VII has been announced. Beyond the welcome familiar faces are some interesting names. I wonder in particular what the presence of Andy Serkis suggests. After all, he's made himself synonymous with pioneering CGI-assisted performances.
We also know the following:

Several names were conspicuously absent from the announced list.* The Expanded Universe has been Jossed. (TBH, we've known that was coming for some time.)
The existing (now non-canonical) EU stories will be labeled "Legends."*
