I'm fiendishly busy preparing for the new semester, but I wanted to point out a couple of brand new books of interest to Poe lovers.
* Beyond Rue Morgue: Further Tales of Edgar Allan Poe's 1st Detective, edited by Paul Kane and Charles Prepolec, is an anthology of new stories based around the very first mystery detective, Le Chevalier C. Auguste Dupin, created by Edgar Allan Poe. This should be fascinating.
* And from my friends Dwight MacPherson, who previously got his Poe on in works such as The Surreal Adventures of Edgar Allan Poo, and his brilliant wife Rebecca, there is Sam Smith and the Raven's Quill. I can't wait to read this one.
When troubled teen Sam Smith runs away from home he has no idea that he is destined to solve one of the greatest mysteries in American history: how did the legendary author Edgar Allan Poe really die, and where is his mysterious quill pen.
