He still hated the new house. Dean had brought them there, and now Dean was gone and Mom was talking about moving again. But as much as Ben hated the new house, he didn't want to leave because he might never find Dean again.
He really missed Dean. He just wishes he could call him or talk to him or something. But Mom said he couldn't. Mom said Dean was in a bad place. It would not be a "good idea" to call him.
But Mom didn't understand that they were guys. They had each other's back. Dean promised he was going to be there for Ben, and it wasn't fair that Mom was keeping them apart.
There was a picture on the fridge of the three of them together after one of his baseball game's. They were all so happy. Ben missed that and wished they could be like this again. Because right now, without Dean -- life sucked. Big time.
Ben reached into the fridge for a bottle of water to take back to bed with him, then turned around and realized he wasn't home anymore. In fact, he didn't think he was even in Michigan anymore. He turned back to the fridge that had been there a second ago, but it was gone too and he was in the middle of what felt like a hotel lobby.
Scared, he gripped the bottle against his chest. This wasn't cool at all.
"Um, hello?" he called out, trying not to be a little kid and start crying for his mommy. Even though that was high on the list of options of what he wanted to do right now
