Cassie jerked back to consciousness on the couch where she lay. Her hand went to her face, scrubbing it tiredly. When she'd splayed across one of the couches in the mansion lobby, she hadn't expected to fall asleep. But, apparently, she had. He jogged up next to her. "Still scared of the dog, Cass?"

She looked him over, frowning. How was he okay with this? It wasn't that warm out and he had to have been getting cold. She opened her mouth to say as much, but what came out was: "Do you know what'd look good on you? Me."

She looked him over pointedly, before: "Do you like short love affairs? I hate them. I've got all weekend."
If you could pass out from blushing too much, it's entirely possible that it might happen to Cassie. At least, she thought so.

"Maybe you should try writing it down? Just so you don't turn into a tomato."

She lead the way to the nearest shop, stepping inside. It was a simple bookstore, piled high with leather bound books. She grabbed a flier describing some reading program and a pen, turning the flier over.
Her every intention was to write out 'why are you just in your underwear?' But what she scribbled out was: I'll cook you dinner if you cook me breakfast.
"Shit."

Cassie started for the stairs, waving her hand in his direction. "C'mon."

She scratched at her cheek then tucked a shaggy lock of hair behind her ear. Cassie hadn't gotten around to getting her hair cut since she'd arrived, so her hair was a little longer than what she was used to.
"Okay," Cassie nodded, leaning back in her seat. "Not sure if this'll work. But it's worth a shot." Especially if it means him understanding why she keeps hitting on him.
