A couple weeks of sitting around getting used to being back in civilization had done him some good. He was no longer the filthy, bloody mess that had dropped out of the sky into the hotel lobby, and though he was still a little freaked out by the second near death experience, he was getting used to pretending like everything was totally normal and fine.
So, when he entered the lobby, he was in a perfectly fine mood. While he didn't have any exciting plans lined up for the day, he would be lying if he said he missed sleeping on a beach and wondering if they were ever going to get off the damn island, so it was almost hard not to look like he was completely content with the world and his place in it.
Clearly though, this general contentment wasn't shared by everyone, and he stopped as he recognized the woman sitting by herself, looking less then happy with pretty much everything. His first instinct was, of course, to go and see what was wrong. For all the crap that people had put him through - namely Shannon, but let's not go there - Boone still liked trying to help out those in need, and Didi definitely looked like someone who could use a sympathetic ear. On top of that, she'd been one of the people to make sure he actually got help when he dropped in with one hell of a concussion, so there was no way he'd just be walking away from this.
He walked over a little cautiously, not really wanting to intrude but planning on doing it anyway.
She looked up at his greeting, blinking a few times, then gave him a weak smile. "Hi."
It had been a fair amount of time since she'd last spoke to Boone and she wondered how he'd been dealing with the whole 'you're now living in a floating sky city'. "How've you been adjusting?" She asked softly, gesturing to the couch off to the side.
If he wanted, he could sit. It was totally up to him.

He shrugged casually. "I'm doing okay." And he was. He'd had a lot of time to come to terms with where he was and what had happened to him, so he really wasn't totally miserable or anything like that. And there were definitely worse places to be trapped.
But clearly that wasn't really the important thing at the moment, so he sat down on the couch she gestured to and looked at her curiously.
The look on his face made her wonder if the look on her face was showing her hand, so to speak. It was a pain in the backside when people that weren't her siblings decided to get all intuitive and wondering what's up with her.
She shook her head, looking down at the arm of her chair for a moment. "Just...missing a friend, you know? People leave the city all the time," she said, by way of an explanation, gesturing off with her hand.
