[Room 315 + Text] Somebody shoot me please

In the middle of another bout of nightmares, Cassie slept, curled up on her side. Her hand gripped the pillow and her brow furrowed. For as long as she'd had the nightmares about her mother, she never got used to them. She always woke up in a cold sweat, with a start, heart beating as if it was trying to escape her chest.

This morning was like any other, except for the presence of some...thing new and old. The "dog" (who was actually a lowbeast from the Nefworld whose mother had been a dog), who had appeared at the foot of her bed, trotted around the side, putting his paws up on the mattress. He recognized the No Longer Hated Cassie Hack's scent with ease. But he did not know how he arrived. The room was unknown to him but it was filled with things that smelled of the No Longer Hated Cassie Hack.

The nefspawn sniffled near the dark head of hair. The girl reeked of fear and sadness. Nudging his muzzle against the her shoulder gently, he did his best to wake her, to save her from the fear. After all, the No Longer Hated Cassie Hack had saved him from the evil machine that hated dogs.

Cassie stirred at the nudging and she sat up with a gasp, eyes wide. Lifting a hand to scrub at her face, she sighed heavily. "Fantastic..." she muttered tiredly.

"You are awake, No Longer Hated Cassie Hack. Loyal Pooch is thankful," came an all-too-familiar voice.

"Oh...fuck no," Cassie sighed before she glanced over to see the lowbeast looking up at her expectantly.

Without a word to the nefspawn, Cassie picked up her phone, sending out a mass text.

Whoever's big idea was it to send me a talking dog, remind me to thank you in person. With my fists.
