Well, this was awkward. Unlike Sophie, Angel had actually gone out of his way to avoid running into his new suitemate. It wasn't that he had anything against her personally, but having to explain to someone you've never met and were now living with that you're an undead creature of the night--but not to worry because you only drink the animal blood that you keep in the 'fridge wasn't exactly something that Angel actually looked forward to. While enhanced senses made it a lot easier to avoid someone than you might think, it was only a matter of time before they finally crossed paths one way or another
( ... )
Sophie came around the corner to the kitchen with a smile, maybe even a bit of a wave. She honestly really wasn't one to judge on what people did with their lives, especially considering what she did with her own, but she would feel better to know that that was animal blood as oppose to human.
"Sophie," she said with a nod as she made her way forward to shake his hand. "You must be my roommate."
He took her hand when she offered it, his own oddly cold to the touch.
"Angel," he replied to her introduction, before releasing her hand and turning to place his mug onto the counter top behind him. That done, he folded his arms in front of him, shifting himself slightly so as to block her line of sight from the cup of blood that he'd just poured himself.
"Yeah," Awkward pause. "I keep pretty odd hours," he offered after a moment, as an explanation for the reason they had yet to meet one another. Not that she had brought as much up to him yet.
She did notice the cold hands, but she didn't comment on it. Everyone had their quirks after all, she just needed to work on figuring out his. "Odd hours are fine -- I sleep like a log, so you don't have to worry about waking me up with anything."
