Crouched low to the ground, Cara was studying the gold device in her hand. She'd tried to give it back to the woman at the desk a few days ago, but was informed that she couldn't return it. The small object that made noises at all hours of the day, was somehow, vital to her survival in this place. Cara couldn't fathom how something so small and annoying could be of import, especially since she couldn't figure out what the symbols meant. There was nothing to coordinate them to.
The object marked as her key had similar symbols, but they matched to the symbols on the wall, yet there was nothing to match these to. She was growing frustrated with the object, and hadn't figured out how to silence it.
"You're useless. All you do is chirp and it's not even in a language I can understand," she muttered, beneath her breath, to the item. "At least I could understand the Wisp after a while."
Her feet shifted, letting her back resting to the back of a tree, drawing her knees up slightly as her arms rested on them. Glancing out, she was still trying to adjust to this world. The forest she had settled herself in at the moment, seemed less like a forest and more like a small clean field. It was something that was better suited in front of one's home, than standing on its own.
"Do you even understand what I'm saying?" Cara questioned, softly, to the item as she held it closer to her mouth. Her fingers pushed at the raised places on the surface of the phone, watching as the item lit up when she pressed down.
Mostly, Cara was completely unaware that her pressing buttons had inadvertently turned the object on, sending her words to whoever might be listening.

[accidental voice post begins]
... oh... your light went off again. [because she had been watching how it illuminated when she pressed buttons]
[ooc: feel free to talk to her via the phone that she has no clue how to use or happen upon her as she's trying to figure it out. Depending on the order of replies - she might have partially figured it out by the time you reply, continuity - I prefer it.]
