Comas were a real bitch. They were a hell of a lot more fun when they had a tour of ye olden days of Angelus, but even then they had their screwed up way of slamming you into brick walls and jacking with your organs. She had to pee. She was damn sure no one in their right mind was going to mess with that at the Hyperion, but here - in the darkness ( Read more... )

Dean really didn't mean to hold that door open for you, Faith. He was getting ready to head back into the hotel after having a nice long conversation with Cas when a hot chick happened to run right past him. There was a bandage on her neck, a confused look on her face, and a really great ass if Dean was happening to look.

Which he was.

He caught the tail end of what she was saying before speaking up. "I'm not sure yet. But it's either that or we've been kidnapped by some kind of group of pagan gods, so either choice pretty much sucks."

Glancing up at him, she eyed him, "Huh?"

It took a moment for her to realize that someone was talking to her instead of 'at' her. Her fingers laced into her hair as she turned her head, letting her elbow carry the weight of it against her knee, "Sorry... did you just say Pagan Gods are kidnapping people?"

She gave him a look that should've pretty much summed up how she felt about that whole sentence.

He sighed heavily. He was still relatively new himself, but he was at least trying to adjust to the whole thing and take people at their world. It was still, however, a little hard for him to believe that he wasn't dead as well. He let the door close gently, before starting to make his way over to her.

"From what I've been told this is El Dorado. The gods grab people out of different points in their timeline and toss them together here." That part he definitely wasn't complaining about. "Only problem is we're stuck here, we can't leave, and nobody has any damn answers about what exactly it is that we're doing here." He shrugged. "Personally I think I'm in a coma somewhere and this is my brain decomposing, but I may be wrong."

"Yeah, well, I am in a coma," Faith paused, "or was... or who the fuck knows."

Stretching her legs out in front of her, she hooked her feet at the ankles, letting her head fall back against the wall, shutting her eyes, "Maybe I died. I was really jonesin' for death before I got all gung ho with the fight 'em all plan."

Faith glanced to him, exhaling before she spoke, "Then I was here and the fight was not here... at all."

As if Cordelia Chase and Dawn showing up didn't add enough stress to her life. She was happy to have her sister, more or less, but the onslaught of people she didn't actually like all that much really needed to stop. Which is why the familiar voice she overheard when she was on her way back from a long day at work wasn't exactly the sort of familiar that proved comforting.

"Faith," she muttered to herself, scrubbing a hand frustratedly over her face. She took a deep breath, bracing herself for the most uncomfortable of all reunions, then walked right up to the rogue Slayer.

"You're not dead."

Faith turned around quickly, catching sight of Buffy. She wasn't really sure how to react to seeing her here, there was a pang of relief that at least she wasn't the only Slayer to get stuck in this damn place.

"Well, I still think the jury's out on that one, B' - 'cause things I've been hearing, this place is ranking high on the lists of places I shouldn't be."

"Nobody should be here. Doesn't mean we're dead. Trust me. I'm well aware of the fact that I'm not dead back home." Buffy sighed. She didn't want to be having this conversation at all, let alone with Faith. Her jaw tightened, and she drummed her fingers against her upper arms as they crossed over her chest.

"Get your key and stuff yet?"

Faith shrugged, not really feeling like arguing with Buffy about the dead or not dead options. She'd been in a coma, practically giving up on life before she showed up. That Dean guy, he'd mentioned everyone he knew here was already dead.

Shaking it off, she glanced to the blonde, "I got a phone. I haven't really gotten the grand tour yet." Smirking, she tilted her head, "You offering?"
