Having been assigned a room, Cordelia had decided it was time to visit this place - afterall she had been 'chosen' for it. She was trying to remain positve and not think of it as being kidnapped by a bunch of pyscho losers. It wasn't really working, but she was trying.

Stepping out into the lobby, her gaze flickered over the occupants of the room. She froze in her place seeing a man who had blood covering the lower half of his face, and then... She saw the fangs.

Oh this was just great. A creepy blood covered vampire. Perfect. Her nose wrinkled and she walked a little in his direction, but made sure to keep her distance. "Ew, you mister, have some seriously bad table manners."

"Where am--"

Nevermind, he had company.

Eric looked back over his shoulder, lifting an eyebrow slowly at the disgusted woman standing there. Just disgusted. Not afraid. He sighed. That was the problem with vampires putting themselves out there in the human world. In some cases, you couldn't always drum up that instant onset of fear like you used to.

"Hilarious." He replied acidly as he got to his feet, looking around the lobby again. This was wrong. No one should have been able to sneak up on him like this. Not that quickly. He looked at the Receptionist, who was smiling at them both now, just as calmly as she had when he'd first arrived.

He didn't like her. So Eric turned to the human, looking her over from head to toe. She wasn't a threat. She didn't appear to be involved. Speaking to her would be preferable for the time being. He paused, then retracted his fangs.

"Where am I?"

Cordelia's nose was still wrinkled as she stared at the vampire. Couldn't she go anywhere without running into one of them? Obviously not, thank you Powers That Be. She was obviously still thinking they had something to do with her being in El Dorado.

Crossing her arms, one eyebrow arched and she shook her head. "Oh really? So you're done with the whole 'Grrrrrrr I'm a Vampire' thing?" she asked, hoping that he was because really? She didn't want to have to find a stake. "To answer your question though, I'm told this is El Dorado. Not that I believe it, but that's what I've been told."

Eric distantly wondered if Pam would want to keep this one to play with if they ever met, or just kill her. He decided, after another once over, that she'd likely opt for play. It made it a little depressing she wasn't here. It'd probably be amusing to watch.

"I'll be through with that when you decide you're through with the sarcasm, human." He rolled his eyes at her, looking around the lobby. "Where I was a moment ago made that behavior... Necessary." More than that. At least, to his mind.

He blinked over her answer, and didn't seem to mind looking at her like she was an idiot. "El Dorado." He repeated. "And what else have you been told?"

"Hey hey! Eyes up here, buddy!" Cordelia said pointing to her face. Ew, for real. A blood covered vampire was the last thing she wanted checking her out. "And I have a name. It's Cordelia." Seriously? Human? Couldn't he have come up with something better than that?

She rolled her eyes, "I know I didn't stutter. Yes, I said El Dorado. Apparently someone or someones, I'm not quite sure brought us here because we deserve it." She eyed him, and her forehead scrunched up. "Though maybe they made a mistake with you."

He ignored the string that tugged on, the reminders of his humanity and the beliefs he'd been raised on. Whatever this was, it certainly wasn't Valhalla. And if Valhalla did exist, they certainly wouldn't be opening their doors to him.

"Really." Eric replied mildly, and lifted an eyebrow slowly. "And what did you do to deserve coming here, Cordelia?" And since she'd already made the misinterpretation once, he looked her over slowly and blatantly, this time clearly just to be annoying and to entertain himself.

He'd suffered the indignity of someone managing to surprise and kidnap him. He figured it was deserved. "I can't say I see an actual use for you. And I certainly don't smell one."

Her lips pulled down into a scowl and one of her hands was soon resting on her hips as she glared at the vampire. "Well, I only go through extremely painful migraines each time the Powers That Be decide to give me those vision things they give me. I totally think that makes me deserving. Though I would have totally settled for a Black Card instead of being brought to this place."

Her scowl deepened and she pointed at him. "Look here you... you.. Vampire! I'm very useful! And what about you? What's so special about sucking blood? Nothing that I can see." She was really not liking this vampire guy.

A psychic? Whatever the case, Eric just hoped that 'Powers That Be' was sarcasm, and not some sort of deity this spastic human worshiped. Even that was pushing it in regards to religion, as far as he was concerned.

"I do not consider how I eat an actual skill. And luckily, you're not the first human I've met who clearly does not have a clue about vampires, and is stupid enough to assume that's all we do." If it weren't for the small handful who'd proven to be smarter than that, Eric would have lost all hope for the humans altogether.

Cordelia shot him an exsaperated look. "Oh, I know plenty about vampires. I happen to work with one, thank you very much." Though, Angel wasn't exactly like the other vampires... She just wasn't about to admit that to this one.

Shifting slightly, she crossed her arms. "You don't look like a normal vampire.. You didn't have that freaky eye thing and eyebrow ridge going on. Are you a different kind of one?"

It'd be a bit childish to call her a liar, so Eric skipped over that. Still, he found it hard to believe any self respecting vampire would bite the bullet to work with this girl. Unless, of course, she was extremely useful with those 'headaches' of hers.

Then, he understood. A bit.

However, all this talk of 'eye things' and 'eyebrow ridges' still made it sound like the only vampire she'd ever experienced was in a movie theater. "I'm definitely different." He answered without hesitating, and smirked. "Though I don't know any vampires that carry any of the features you are describing."

Cordelia continued to eye him and sighed. Right now would be a really good time for Angel or Wesley or Gunn to show up. They might be able to figure out what sort of Vampire this one was or... Maybe he wasn't a vampire. Maybe he was a demon who just had habits like a vampire! OR maybe Wolfram & Hart had done something to him. It was all so strange.

"Riiiiiiiight. And you're from what planet exactly? You're the only 'vampire' I've ever met who doesn't turn alll grrr ugly vampire like, and I've met lots." And helped stake a lot, but that was something she was sure this one really didn't need to know - ever.

At this rate, he almost found the idea that he and this girl were from different worlds perfectly acceptable. But Eric couldn't help thinking that would just be too simple. Not to mention entirely ridiculous.

Still, he couldn't see or smell any indication that this girl was lying. And it would explain the situation in a pretty absolute fashion.

"Either you've met a different breed of vampire than I have," And with over a thousand years under his belt, Eric highly doubted that too. "Or this place is even stranger than I thought." But different worlds? Really?

She shot him a look and then shook her head. This one was what was strange around here - she'd have to talk to Buffy about him and see what she thought. Oh god, she was actually going to talk to Buffy, like really talk to her.

"Maybe, but are you sure that you're not the one who's the strange thing around here?" Well he was the first vampire she'd run into here and he didn't even look like a normal vampire.

"You mean headaches, visions, and the 'Powers that Be' are all normal?" Yes, of course, there's nothing wrong with the psychic, but everything wrong with him.

Eric shook his head. "A place created by people with this much power, able to take us all here before we can blink, is strange by default."

"Not exactly," Cordelia admitted with a frown. OK, she really wasn't sure she was liking this vampire - whose name she didn't even know, though she wasn't sure she wanted to know it either. "But my visions help people in trouble. Can you say the same?"

She shrugged her shoulders. "Yeah I guess, it's possibily a little stranger than Sunnyville."

"I never claimed to help anyone." Eric pointed out, smirking, and didn't mind showing a little pride about that. "Nor did I claim to be among the supposed deserving of what this place has to offer."

In fact, he'd very much rather not be. "I'm sure it is. Though any town with a name like that is disturbing entirely on its own.
