So I came with Cantarella's report, special CD and some photoset scans too! (Would be too lazy to share everything separately.)
The special CD is a CD with the original Cantarella, Cendrillon and Paradichlorobenzene songs plus the covered version by Kane-chan and the main utaite in the play. They gave that CD to whoever went to watch the play! ^^

Note : I went for the senchuuraku and it seems Mizutani got hurt during the play so when I went Ueshima Yukio played Rodrigo for him
Before reading the report I must warn you, I'm not fluent in japanese although I can understand it quite easily, but the play is difficult and I've seen it only ONCE so I can't exactly say each people's grade, what EXACTLY hapenned and why. I'm really sorry about that. + my brain is bad at remembering stuff precisely
If you're ok with that feel free to read. (By the way my english isn't that good either and I never check my report because it's annoying so there may me many grammar errors and things like that.)
Report :
First thing to mention is the characters’ relationships. Cesare, Lucrezia and Juan are siblings. Rodrigo is their father and Vannozza is their mother (who passed away).
Note: Lucrezia possesses Cantarella, passed down by her mother because all girls in the family should protect the family secretly.
Capri, Pedro and Verona are under that family's order and Miguel is Cesare's devoted right-hand man.
Piero and Giovani are siblings (Piero being the older brother), Giovani is also Cesare's best friend and confident.
Claudia is a prostitute who is in love with Cesare since they had some affair together.
And Savonarola is the 'bad guy' who wants to kill Rodrigo (or so the Bolgia family thinks) and Fernando is some high-ranking guy called here from Spain by Savonarola. Both of them are keen about religion.
So this all starts with a party, actually Rodrigo's health is pretty bad so Cesare wanted to do something to cheer him up, whereas Juan thinks he should rest. Cesare and Juan are often in disagreement with each other, there is some kind of rivalry between them or perhaps Juan feels inferior to his brother, who can think quickly, make good decisions and is strong.
Savonarola has also appeared here, and it was obvious that everyone tried to keep him away from Rodrigo since they all think he's after his life. So every time he came closer, one of the brothers stepped in front of him. After babbling a bit he went away.
During the party bit we also notice that Lucrezia and Cesare's relationship is more than just as siblings, Lucrezia is obviously in love with Cesare and so is he. Both of them also mention there is something which bonds them together, something that should never be told.
And then comes Piero and his younger brother Giovani. Piero suggests for Rodrigo to marry her daughter to him so that could also strengthen something about their family (or something to do with that). Rodrigo was about to accept when Cesare refused and said that it would be better for her to marry Giovani. When Piero, offended, asks why should Lucrezia marry Giovani and not him since he's the elder brother ect., Cesare just exposes some bad facts about him, such as visiting prostitutes and such things. (Note: Giovani was never against Piero's decision so even he asked why, but is eventually glad to be chosen to marry Lucrezia) Lucrezia agrees too since it is something that has been decided by her beloved brother Cesare.
Juan however is against that, he clearly sees that Lucrezia doesn't love Giovani and doesn't want his sister to be married to someone she doesn't love. He would like her to live freely and not marry someone just because she was obliged to. (He is quite the kind and idealistic guy in the story.)
After everyone leaves except Juan, Claudia appears and gets violently thrown off by Cesare which surprises Juan. Cesare then explains that she is not someone who belongs here and there goes Juan with the "But that's not a reason for treating her so badly!" stuff.
After that there is a scene between Cesare and Giovani, talking about how glad Cesare is that her sister is marrying him, and Giovani being flattered to be chosen. Giovani is Cesare's closest friend ect ect.
After this ends, Juan comes to Cesare and tells him that he's against the marriage between Lucrezia and Giovani because she does not love him ect. even if her sister is ok with that he isn't ect ect. So they argue a lot and it ends up in bad terms and Cesare leaves.
Here appears Claudia who talks about her relationship with Cesare to Juan; that they had some affairs together and fell in love with him, but he just threw her away as if she was nothing. Juan being... well Juan (the idealistic, kind guy) of course says Cesare should have taken responsibility for his actions ect ect. Those two talk quite a lot about Cesare and how Juan must feel inferior to him. Claudia then manages to get Juan into bed and spends the night with him. (Her goal is to just get closer to Juan in order to get to Cesare)
When Juan wakes up and notices what he has done, Claudia told him that he was just going to throw her just like his brother did, right? And unexpectedly (or at least for Claudia) he told her he'd assume all responsibility, he didn't say that lightly, he really meant it.
Then there's some little scene with Capri and Pedro doing some music for Lucrezia, and Lucrezia making Giovani visit their place. Giovani clearly notices that Lucrezia doesn't love him and will never, just the "Are you ok with that?" and "If it's what Cesare wants, I'd be fine with everything" obviously shows that she loves Cesare more than anyone/anything and will never fall in love with anyone else.
After than Juan and Claudia meet again and Claudia tells him "There's someone I want you to meet" so she goes and makes Juan meet with Savonarola and Fernando. Savonarola explains to Juan that he doesn't want to kill Rodrigo and explains his view on religion, then introduces him to Fernando. They somehow manage to make Juan avenge his brother's life. If he kills Cesare, Lucrezia will be free, and that he isn’t be inferior, that he can do it, anyway they told him so many things that Juan believes them and thinks he should also kill his own brother, the main reason being to set Lucrezia free. Because even if she doesn't marry Giovani, Cesare will definitely use his sister again for some other reason and get her married to someone else. So the only reason is to kill Cesare; he decided that and also promised Claudia that he'd come back and choose her, marry her after that, all the romantic stuff since he has really decided to take all responsibility for what he did. Claudia is really touched about that and believes him (and of course falls in love with him.)
Miguel manages to learn that and reports everything to Cesare who is shocked that his brother is planning to murder him. He is quite lost about what to do about that because even if he manages to make Juan come back to reason, the fact is he hates Cesare enough to be able to kill him, and that kind of hatred never really disappears. He might be able to murder him again after all, but he is still his brother and can't kill his brother just because he wanted to murder him. But it's either him or Juan, and he's so lost that he confesses to Lucrezia that someone is after him and that he doesn't know what to do. Lucrezia decides to give him Cantarella without knowing that it was Juan planning to murder Cesare.
Eventually when Cesare and Juan meet, Cesare talks to him as if nothing happened while Juan is nervous about that. He drinks what Cesare gives to him and dies before having any chance to cut his brother with the poisoned knife that Savonarola gave him.
During Juan's burial, someone mentions that he died of being poisoned because his face was blue (or something like that). After some talking, Lucrezia notices that the Cantarella she gave to Cesare had served to kill her other brother, so she is depressed and wonders how something like that could happen. A little later after that, Claudia comes and tries to murder Cesare to avenge Juan but fails by getting caught by Miguel as soon as she runs towards Cesare, and gets killed. That is when Rodrigo learns that the one who killed Juan was none other than his own brother Cesare. Outraged, he wonders how that could have happened. Cesare tries to explain to him but to no avail, Rodrigo won't listen and sees Cesare as evil. (Note: There's also a moment where Cesare says to his father that he won't be as bad as his father. Even though he killed his brother, his hands aren't as stained as his father's. That is one of the moments where Rodrigo sees his son as evil)
At some moment (can't remember precisely), Fernando and Savonarola appear before Rodrigo. Savonarola introduces Fernando, who brings up the fact that he has a really magnificent daughter. Somehow they decide to unite Lucrezia and Fernando in marriage (she has to accept but really isn't pleased with that idea). Giovani is a bit shocked when he hears that but understands Cesare and doesn't say a thing.
After that, Cesare apologizes to Giovani, and Giovani tells him he really doesn't mind, because Lucrezia doesn't love him anyway and he wouldn't know if he'd be able to live with someone that beautiful who clearly loves someone else. Also he understands that her being married to Fernando would help much more than her being married to Giovani.
In regards to Lucrezia and Fernando, even after the announcement of their marriage, there's a scene when Lucrezia listens to Pedro and Capri playing music, and learns that Verona is actually dating Capri. Those two sing her a really cute song and then after Capri and Pedro leave, Fernando comes and asks Lucrezia to show him the house. The girl kindly refuses, saying she's not feeling well, a lie of course that everyone would let go. But Fernando forces her to come with him even though Verona tried to stop him, she eventually couldn't since they're married so Lucrezia and Fernando eventually made up.
Then there's a scene with Rodrigo alone who sees his wife Vannozza as an illusion, who tells him that Cesare has their blood so he must be evil and that they should stop that line of descent which means to kill him. Only killing Cesare will stop everything since Rodrigo is about to die too. So he gets in touch with Savonarola and commands his son's murder. When they're done with everything, Savonarola leaves Rodrigo's room, disguised, and passes by Cesare. Cesare becomes intrigued and tells her (yeah he was disguised as a female servant) to stop, if she's new here ect. then discovers that it’s Savonarola. They talk for a bit (lame jokes about Savonarola who came to meet with Cesare because he loves him) and Cesare decides to let him go for this time. Some minutes after Miguel reports to Cesare that he saw Savonarola leave Rodrigo's room, Cesare regrets that he didn't killed him and discovers that his father is also intending to murder him.
Back to Lucrezia and Fernando, after they made up, Fernando clearly knows that she loves someone other than him and asks her who, but of course she wouldn't answer. Fernando then decides to never ever make love with her, he won't even ever touch her, which means no more pleasure, of course if she gets some from other guys though, he'd kill her for adultery. After Fernando leaves, Lucrezia, who can't do anything anymore because she's full of regrets (because she contributed to her brother's death) and disguised by Fernando and life, she cries all alone and hears her brother Juan’s voice who's comforts her. He asks her what is between her and Cesare, she first didn't want to talk about it but then eventually confessed to her late-brother. (Note: Fernando decided to go back to Spain at that moment)
After knowing that his father is planning to murder him, Cesare starts to become a little paranoid. Then he remembers there's someone who'll never betray him, Lucrezia, since both of them are bound by a secret that can never be told, so he comes to her again saying that there's someone who's after his life again. Lucrezia, who really feels bad after killing her own brother and being abused by Fernando, also feels a bit betrayed by her brother Cesare after all since he never mentioned that he'd kill Juan. Even though he told her that she'd get married, Fernando is a bit reluctant to give him Cantarella again, not only because of all of that, but also because she feels like he's going to do something awful again. After some hesitation she finally hands over the Cantarella, mentioning that it will be the last time, because she has no more. (She actually couldn't say no to her beloved Cesare and betray his trust in her.)
After that, a party occurs at the Bolgia's place with everyone invited except Fernando who is in Spain and all the dead ones. Here, Cesare poisons his father's glass, Lucrezia then feels like the last remains of her soul have become broken since she also killed her brother and now her father? But then Cesare accuses Savonarola of poisoning Rodrigo's glass, so eventually Cesare is safe since all the people who were after him are gone, but then Piero, possessed by Juan stabs Cesare in his left side of his chest (the left side of a chest you are actually looking at on someone else, not your own). Miguel kills Piero (for his master Cesare) and Giovani kills Miguel (for his brother Piero).
Now remaining alive are only Lucrezia, Giovani, Verona, Capri, Pedro and Fernando.
Actually, a long time ago (on a rainy day I think?) Cesare was stabbed in the right side of his chest, where his heart should be, by Miguel (who was just a simple assassin) but didn't die because Lucrezia, who was with him, heard in her head that if she gave herself to Cesare, he wouldn't die, so she gave herself to him and kept him warm. Thanks to that, he didn't die - that is what they're bound by, and that is how both of them fell in love to each other. Actually Cesare's heart is in the left side of his chest, he's one of those special people you see once in a generation, that is why he didn't die. (They mentioned that he almost died sometime in the beginning too but never knew how he survived, I just forgot to write it in my report)
Miguel was told (by a voice too) that one day, he'd meet someone he can't kill and serve him, so he looked for that person during his whole life, then found Cesare and decided to serve him for the rest of his life.
So in the end, after a while, Giovani offers Lucrezia to live with him so she wouldn't have too much pain to live with ect. but she declined his offer and decides to leave on a trip with Verona, Capri and Pedro since only their music can soothe her pain. And it just ends like that.
Some plus (and my thought) :
- Luke touched (and kissed) Nao quite a lot in places he shouldn't that was somehow funny but creepy
- Kane-chan made a mistake on a word he pronounced okoto instead of otoko at the very beginning that was cute.
- Everyone's singing was wonderful (except Ota who was... normal or maybe just a little bad)
- koma'n, kaito and konkon had only small appearance that's why I couldn't talk that much about Capri, Piedro and Verona
- koma'n is from 1992, shocking...
- All the music they sang in this musical was Cantarella, Cendrillon and Paradichlorobenzene remixed and lyrics modified
- The play between Kane-chan and Ane was reeaaaally convincing, they almost kissed too, their lips were like 2 or 3cm from each other.
- I really liked that play, the story was nice a little bit hard to understand because there's too many characters and story between them I wished I could have take more than 1ticket.
- and Ueshima-sensei as Rodrigo yaay o/ Kane-chan also mentionned it and Ueshima was like why d'you tell that? Now they all noticed! (Well I noticed from the beginning though since I was 1st row xD)
So I guess that's all, I may have forget some parts this play was really really dense,
but anyway if there's any question don't hesitate to ask I'd be happy to answer!
As usual comments are welcome ^^
