Why on Earth do we read Uncle Tom's Cabin in school when we could be reading "a narrative of the life of Fredrick Douglass" by F. Douglass? It is a thousand to two thousand times better writen, covers all the bases of evils done to slaves and caries the Credence of being writen by (fancy that) a slave! No instead we need to learn from an inferior piece of writing by a white woman!who according to the biographies, "gained first hand knowledge of slavery from living in Cincinatti."
Jeesh... Helluva way to teach us about racism.
