At what time did they try something like this before?

Several months again. They attempted to turn us against each other by claiming there were "monsters" among us who were killing others at night.

How effective was it that time? I'd have taken this group to be the kind to overreact, but they've seemed mild so far.

It certainly frightened people, and it did stir up some panic but as you can see we are not divided as we might have been.

That's true. I was expecting a much harsher backlash. The solidarity is... surprising, I suppose, especially for the sort of people that inhabit this place.

I can only hope it is because the people here have learned their lesson and are treading more carefully.
