[Sophie is not okay. Sophie is not okay. She is sitting in the middle of the apartment, surrounded by what number of hats she has found. Not even 100 yet. She is holding on tightly to a couple, both given to her by England and Tiffany. She is not crying, but thinking. Her brain is whirling with so many thoughts and none of them will settle. She hasn't even heard from Howl in days. For the first time in a very long time she is at a complete and utter loss of what to do.
She reaches out and holds on to the telephone, her hand shaking.]
What do we do? Howl? Please. Please answer.
They will be coming back...they always do after all. Perhaps I should clean. The least I can do is make sure this place is semi-presentable for their return.
