Action-packed day yesterday with camera working overtime (you have been warned...)

To begin with I crawled out of bed at 6.30am. Lauren was off galivanting around spalding (if that's at all possible) doing Unicorn Plot Stuff (allegedly, although I gather alcohol was involved too) so at least I didn't have the sight of her still curled up asleep to ( Read more... )

ace pictures, i can't wait to see the film :) how does one get involved with it's a trap? i'm only a n00b prop maker but it's something i'd really like to get in to, along with costuming. though i know they have loads of creative types at their disposal already....

We're always looking for help; you've already given us a much appreciated hand with those severed elf heads (which have come in handy on several occassions since the first!) Next thing requiring props and costume will probably be the Steamtech event we're planning next year; lots of Victorian costume and brass-rivetted gadgetry... Lauren's getting costume patterns together now and would certainly appreciate any help you can offer.

ooh ace, i shall talk to her then.. i keep thinking of a zillion things i need to say to you and or lauren, and then either forgetting or feeling like a freak for bombarding you with stuff. current messages for you are:
•i'm going to paint my dining room the same colour as yours! thanks for telling me what it is..
•would you like a couple of crocosmia lucifers? they're not quite what i had in mind for my garden, but they're very pretty and my parents are refusing to take them home again :)

Bombard away - just don't expect much response during the next week, during which we will be living in a tent for the Sidmouth Folk Festival :)

Yes, those Lucifers look fantastic! We need some stuff to populate the upper terrace; hope they're good at fending off bindweed and honeysuckle though...

ooh, i shall have to ask lauren's advice on a mediaeval evening bag sharpish then! when are you off?
i'll bring over the crocosmias whenever you say is convenient - they probably need planting fairly soon though as they're drying out in their little pots. also, most of those pictures show a lot of plants. two does not a garden make. but they're still pretty :)
