Smart Girl. Good Girl.

Kayla was absolutely magnificent today at her first canine good citizen class (for her CGC title)!

We went over handsignals, supervised separation (where owner has to leave the dog with someone to watch as he/she leaves the room), noise distraction, and movement distraction. It was a lot, but Kayla breezed through it. The assistant trainer asked me if she had had classes before and was surprised when I said "nope."

Just before class we were hanging out with James at his place with his family and I taught her to roll over in the period of a couple minutes. When we were in class later, we had moments of "down time" for the dogs while the instructor talked to us where the dogs could sit or lie down near their owners and chill/play with a toy/etc. Every time we had one of these Kayla was so excited about her new trick she decided to try it out and see if it got her more treats, so she would roll over and over and over (read: rolling in a circle around my chair) which highly amused the class.

It was good times.

I am so proud of my dog.

She is so awesome. Yay!

kayla, animals, fun
