I should really stop saying I'll write here more often if I keep this up. Let's see, the past few weeks...
Visiting with Rosie was a bit more of an adventure than I'd had in mind. The Dreaming is a fascinating place, and I really would like to spend some time looking into its nature, but it isn't an ideal spot for a child-knight from before the war. The virus was a mixed blessing, I suppose, as I had mentioned wishing to have known Rose when she was younger, but due to the politics of the time we didn't have much of a chance to chat. Luckily the Corinthian, the sweetheart, was able to keep an eye on her in the interim but he seemed to also have been affected. Most of the rest of the visit I tried to stay near in case there was something I could do, but they seemed to get along well enough without me. I did pop in to the library and will have to make a second trip for that alone.
That of course extended my stay a bit past when I'd intended, and I had to reschedule Kanna's first trip into her world as a result. I was able to check back in on Ulara in between, saw our new neighbours settling in and destroyed the camera to keep any further surprises at bay. After that it was off to Kanna's shrine, and her first experience of the world outside those walls.
I'll never forget that smile for as long as I still live.
Coming back was a hassle though. There's already some friction developing here, and I've had to step in on a few matters until cooler heads prevailed. I'm sure it's just from the move; everyone's a little on-edge with sudden change, so it'll sort itself out eventually.
It has been keeping me busy, and between that and catching up with my babies there's hardly been time for that history book let alone keeping up with things here. And it seems to be the community's sense of humor that the first time I have a free day there are evil opposites afoot. Rosie's gave me quite a start, and I'm just glad that all wrapped up quickly.
Certainly never a dull moment.
While I still have the time I'd like to go and visit with Crocker and see what his views on magic might be. If you're reading this dear, is there a time and place that would be good for a little chat?

Where's my head? Another year, another chance to forget one's birthday I guess. Miata reminded me, but with her out and about and how things are right now we thought it best to not do much this year. Caron's had her hands full, so I'm sure she appreciated not having something else to worry about too. I probably could have used the party if I'm being honest, but certainly not the stress of putting it all together.
