Already falling behind, my how time flies when one's a tree

I've finally got some time to jot down what's been going on recently, and that only because Caron needs to sleep sometime. I suppose I'll have to too, once I finish this up.

Things have been pretty quiet in Ulara, so I've been focusing on events on the community of late. There was some progress on finding the one known as Contra Mundi, but he has yet to be dealt with fully. There is new hope that the girl's story will end happily as it seems her loved one is still alive, if captured. I'm watching how this is unfolding; I want to be sure that no one else gets hurt in all of this, but I have responsibilities here that need to be dealt with. More on that later.

I've just come back from another one of those 'viruses', this one having transplanted people into other worlds with memories to match. While this was an excellent opportunity to get to know Captain Jack and Ianto better, I had a devil of a time cleaning up the mess when I got back. I wish these things would give a bit of warning so that I could cover my absences a bit more smoothly, but oh well. I certainly won't be forgetting my time as a tree anytime soon, and the memories of a war fought through time will likely also linger. I seem to be thinking about the Campaign a lot lately.

And, speaking of that, I returned to Ulara to find everyone up in arms about my running off including Caron, who'd gotten back while I was gone. I've had to explain the situation to her, and she'll take a lot more convincing before she'll see sense about this whole community business. She's worried about the possible effects of these viruses, and won't leave me alone about it. I suppose our little trip will serve to hash it out, but I'm certainly not looking forward to the next few days. And that brings me to the reason for the trip itself: Caron ran into a Wingly settlement southeast of the ruins of Kadessa that is looking to be a bit problematic. They are intent to reassert my brother's views on the world, and it was only by mention of my name that she convinced them to talk. I'll have to tread carefully there, as I'm pretty sure they don't know what my role was in the war and are only willing to hear me out because I'm a Frahma. Certainly not what I had planned for the week, but I suppose this sort of thing was unavoidable in the grand scheme of things.

We've made a great deal of progress already using Ulara's teleportation pad, but we'll have to take the longer way back if they don't have one of their own. I expect to arrive within the next two or three days, depending on wind speed, and hopefully only take a few more to bring them around if I'm able. If not, I at least hope I can keep them from violence until cooler heads take over. I have a great deal of time after all; I can afford to be patient.

Oh! And before I forget: a note to self to drop in on that merchant on the way back. I'm afraid he nearly had a heart attack when we appeared from nowhere, and was still pretty unsteady on his feet when we left. I bought an odd trinket from him in apology, but a proper visit would likely do him good. I've set it aside to have a look at when I'm not on here or talking with Caron, as it has some magic to it but doesn't look Wingly in its design. A curiosity at best, but it'll help while away the hours.

Well, my blanket calls. I'll write again when I'm able, but as this is only for my benefit I'll likely be around the main community before I return. I hope things settle down soon; the pace of this last month is much different than I'm used to.

((Little does she know that the Fatal Frame plot kicks off tomorrow, and she's just found her camera...))
