More on Chicago in a bit. I've been pretty busy trying to get caught up after the long weekend.
In other news. Seeing as it really sucks to attend weddings when single, I reopened my match.com account and I'm giving their new response based matching service, chemistry.com, a try. I need to fine tune my parameters a bit as I'm being paired up with some folks who just aren't my type. Models are nice, really easy on the eyes, but please no ultra conservatives and liberals, or women who are so intensely religious as to mention God several times in their profiles. I'm sure there are guys who fit your profile, but that ain't me.
If there's one good thing about taking the time to go through all these questionnaires is a realization that I'm really quite moderate in my viewpoints and approach to life. Perhaps it's a product of working in precision manufacturing, where splitting the tolerance is a cardinal rule of life. Extremes = Bad.
As for the online services. I'll give them a try. Not much to lose.
I do recall reading somewhere or having someone tell me that success rates from online matching is pretty low and that you really have to be willing to dig in deep, screening possibly 100 or so matches before finding one that may be compatible. Well, I've got my hard had on - let's get to work.
