I threw a tantrum. When a tantrum is flung it, amongst other similarities to shit, splatters everywhere.
Life goes well. I have some victories and defeats. My grades are still bad and I've put on some weight, but I haven't failed yet. The one thing that counteracts just about everything bad that's happened to me academically may have already been brought to your attention by Dani and that is that I'm going to get my name on a paper as a coauthor because my research is going to be put in the next paper that's published in our group. That could be within the month or by the end of the semester. First, though, I have a ton of work to verify my very loose findings. Dr. Tasker said that if I can get my results in for the next paper it would be the fastest any undergraduate he's heard of has been published after starting research. I really hope that all things go according to plan and that the Calcium imaging setup is free all weekend so that I can get some major results and start to analyze my data. I really hope that grad schools take only one look at my grades and then fixate on my research. Here's to hoping.
Also, for a while I will not be posting comments nor allowing comments to livejournal. If you would like to talk to me, you can reach me at jradicke@tulane.edu or elderbaboongod@hotmail.com or elderbaboongod on AIM.
