So. In my search for brain-soothing distractions, I read a couple of books yesterday evening and this morning. The first one turned out to be a vampire novel (NOT to be confused with a novel about vampires; no, I mean a book that drains the reader and takes away emotions and does not give anything in return): Saturn's Children, by the serially (and seriously) overrated Charles Stross. Luckily, the second was the literary equivalent of a badly needed transfusion: The Wind Through the Keyhole, aka The Dark Tower 4.5 (the '4.5' being is Stephen King's own designation).
The Wind Through the Keyhole is a beautiful, beautiful, life-giving thing. Even when it's being dark and disturbing.
More please soon please, sai King!
