Did anyone remember Harry's birthday this year?

Someone's ring tone on the bus is the first few bars of the Harry Potter theme. Every few minutes I keep expecting Hagrid to crash through the bus roof, grab someone and declare "yer a wizard!"

Best bus ride of the summer.

::sigh:: You get all the cool Harry Potter stuff. I remembered because my ex-roommate has the same birthday, and he just got back from his World Tour, and I struggled with whether or not to go "Hey, happy birthday, how was your trip, sold our fridge yet?" but...ugh.

Oooh, ouch. I hate chasing down friends for stuff. (Especially ex-roommates. Frustrating.)

Although, man, I would still be having Harry Potter themed birthday parties if I shared Harry's birthday.

He was too much of a poser for that. But yeah, I totally would if I shared a birthday with someone cool (better than Cannonball from the X-Men).

Cannonball is awesome! Although yeah, not quite as cool as Harry.

But dude, X-Men themed birthday party. You only need to have one. And then you can talk about it forever.

The thing is, I didn't see the reveal of Sam's birthday as October 17th until...what...2006 or so? And it was just a brief shot on his ID. It's X-Men, and with their continuity, I bet no one remembers it and if they show his birthday again, it'll be a different date (ha ha, I just checked, both Comic Vine and Marvel Revolution list it as October 17th, but they don't agree on the year).

My point is, by the time I found out, I was too old and too friendless to be having X-themed parties.
