Eirik Solheim took identically-framed pictures from his balcony over a full year, and put them together in a couple of different ways as time-lapse videos. The result is quite beautiful, and he was kind enough to share a detailed write-up about
how it was made (hint: a lot of patience is involved).
The two videos can be seen in HD here:
40-second zoomed out version and
two-minute zoomed in version. I really like them as a pair, and oddly the slower zoomed-in version feels a lot more impressionistic.
