Punalu'u Valley
Originally uploaded by eldan I spent last week on O'ahu, for work. I didn't have much free time, but there were three good outdoor days as part of the class I was putting on. There was a day of scouting out potential field trip sites, a field trip spent surveying an urban stream, and a second field day in which we were shown round an urban restoration site and a valley that is subject to a very ambitious restoration plan. I took a lot of photos.

I did have one free day after the class, which I spent doing a very difficult hike. In fact, I didn't make it all the way to the peak I was aiming for, because it started to feel too precarious and I was hiking alone. I did get some glorious views along the way though.

work, photography, fluvial geomorphology, travel
