I've been amazingly busy lately. Working full time, plus assistant teaching makes for many 50+ hour weeks. On the plus side, at least I'm not bored, eh?
I've been told that a very, very slim margin of people will be allowed to stay in my housing after the middle of august, which means one of two things.
I will be one of those people
North Central, in all its idiotic paperwork and red tape will be responsible for me being homeless for two weeks to a month.
Which sounds better? I'm not sure. Dealing with North Central has continued to be a headache as things are mismanaged and money is thrown after idiotic projects in ways much much worse than Sksm has ever been.
Regardless, the job has been going pretty well, I'm actually working for reasonable people for once in my life, I'm being paid a wage that actually reflects the work I'm doing, I'm getting benefits, and I have an actual understanding of how the company works and exactly how all that money is being spent (unlike, say, Gamestop. When your profit margin is over 500% percent on some items, you have no excuse for the way you treat your employees)Plus, despite working for a fortune 500 company, I feel better about their practices and am treated a thousand times better than when I worked for a small, family-run business. For one thing, I feel like if I wanted to I could actually claw my way up the hierarchy. I have encountered no management on any level that did not do so.
Anyways, that's been my summer and that's why you haven't seen me.
