Wet Confetti - Laughing Gasping (2006)
[Pampelmoose]
Portland, OR trio release 2nd LP. Female-led electro-indie rock with post-punk aggression. Both catchy and quirky. Similar to Blonde Redhead if they studied with Ladytron and upped the intensity to crazy levels. Finds itself alongside fellow post-punk new-wave revivalists the Faint at times.

[Alternative Tentacles]
Self-proclaimed new wave-punk hybrid from Pensacola, FL with 3rd LP. Songs range from indie pop (5-19-22, Under the Apple Tree, Jules, Jean & Juliette) to 80s-era punk (Country Style, Cold as the North, Warm as the South, UFO) to straight up indie dance rock (Run Run Run, Woo, So Strange). Features a strong, fun DIY aesthetic. The album even offers a great cover of the Smiths' There is a Light that Never Goes Out.
