motorcycles

Early this year, a motorcycle hit my car as I was doing a left turn along Commonwealth. The thing is that I was already near a full turn when it hit me. I had to help the driver get some medical attention since he was flat broke. Ako na nabangga, ako pa nagbayad! But the guys at the National Orthhopedic Hospital were just terrific. Mura na, maganda pa ang service. The disclocated elbow was "fixed" with the cheaper than usual x-ray done at the hospital as the guide. All in all, I spent less than 1k. The other hospital charged me 2500 Mas mahal pa kung tinawag pa nila ang doktor mna espesyalista. Buti na lang may Natl Orthopedic.

Nowadays, I always have to be on the look-out for motorcycles on my blind side. Especially when turning. But along the Old Balara road going to UP, motorcycle riders pass me on my left and on my right--and in the other direction, ganon din. So 4 lanes for them!

I think they feel safe with a helmet on.

They don't realize that their body is fully exposed Once hit, either mapilayan or mamatay. Yun na.

What to do? Let them wear the protection a Motorcycle racer uses - Helmet, Pads sa knee, shoulder and elbow. And a body armor. I am not kidding! Without these things on, even a 40 kph ospital or sementeryo punta mo.
