Yay!
So, a lovely individual in the holiday_wishes community just gave me six months of paid LJ time! Maybe that will help me get back in to being communicative. I hope so, at least.
I'm going to be making some new icons to celebrate coming back, I think. I have one last usage of Photoshop on this trial - and it's running now. I opened it the other day to see how long I had left on the trial, and it said the trial had expired and I had one use left - and then when I hit quit, it opened the program! I wasn't ready for that, so I've left the computer on or sleeping since so I can still use it. It's not that bad, really, because I do have the GIMP, but I'll always prefer Photoshop. I guess that's why they charge so much for it.
So I saw Harry Potter last night with Jacob, we had a lot of fun. We didn't manage to get any sort of costumes together, but we had plenty of fun looking at the ones who did. One guy dressed as Hedwig, and three girls dressed as Fluffy. I'm thinking of going as Luna Lovegood next year. Or Rita Skeeter. Or a tabby cat with a tag that says "McGonagall". Or... well, there are plenty of possibilities. Anything but the expected - no Harry, no Hermione, no Ron, no Voldemort. Jacob was thinking of going as Malfoy, bleaching his hair and everything. I guess we'll see.
He dyed his hair blue while Mom and I were in San Diego in October. It's entertaining. He told me beforehand he was gonna do it, but Mom was shocked. It was quite amusing.
As for the movie, I really liked it. Someone pointed out that it seemed kind of slow paced, and it did compared to the book, but I'm not sure it would have been better if they'd sped it up. There were some utterly hilarious scenes, and they did heart-wrenching well. Has anybody else seen it yet? Maybe I should make some HP icons. And Animorphs. We'll see. I should also cobble together a new mood theme. Or maybe get one from somebody else, like I did before. We'll see.
