as everything falls perfectly into place
so much food at my goodbye potluck Friday! I was so touched by how many people made/brought gluten-free food just for me!
went to Budget Rental only to find that they were out of 10' trucks, I had to take a 16' one.
I was absolutely terrified, despite only having to make 2 right turns and 2 left turns. long story short: it went flawlessly and I parked right. in. front. of. the house. perfect!
Arik came over and it turned out that as a kid his family moved every 6months to two years so he was actually the perfect friend to have asked to help load the truck with his infinite moving knowledge (and my jar of bungee.)
Saturday I had to get up bright & early for blood work/ultrasound in Waltham (dad drove.) after he dropped me at home where I showered and packed a bit more until Greg arrived and we hit the road!
arrived in NYC at 3, unloaded in <20 minutes, love my second new roomie, Brittney. dropped off the truck, grabbed coffee with George, hung out on Seth's roof, grabbed dinner at Risotteria, regrouped at home and took my final injection, then met some of Greg's friends at Mona's, my favorite dive bar right around the corner from my old place! (B btwn. 13th & 14th)
sleep shortly after 12 in my new bed, did some more rearranging/organizing/unpacking in the AM before meeting Miss La at Dojo for brunch. after some yummy food and crappy service ad a quick stop at my place Greg & I grabbed a 3pm bus.
now I am at my parents' house as the extraction is at 7.30 tomorrow morning. this means mum will drop me at 7 and Matt will pick me up shortly after that.
recovering in B-town all of Monday & most of Tuesday before our last family style roomie dinner in Cambridge. Wednesday = more last minute errands, possible climbing with Emrah (if I feel up to it), and possible last meet-up at CBC.
Thursday = dinner with Jas & Alisa (finally!) then Run, Ronnie, Run and a champagne JAM! at the loft. Friday is my party, Saturday is last roomie brunch, then I'm gone for good to NYC!
well, until my flight to China leaves at 12.40pm on Sunday.
