I love the comments about how unpopular this measure is with americans. I haven't done all the math myself, but I believe it comes to about 175,000 dollars... per american. How about they give that out to each american instead? I'd buy a house with it. I know most people would do that, or spend it paying off a mortgage... OH LOOK, PROBLEM SOLVED. And the voters would be happy.
Bailing out a crippled system that obviously does not work, doesn't seem that intelligent to me, just a lot of rich old guys trying to protect their rich old chairs. I think congress has finally caught on that the rank and file american is SICK OF THIS CRAP, of trying to save all these f-ed up big companies that have ruined the very spirit of capitalism.
Anyway, that's my 2 cents.
