Now this is love...
Well, I am officially in love with buddy camp. I just got back yesterday and I'm completely wiped out. I have never been this physically, mentally, or emotionally exhausted....but everything about the week was perfect. I can't imagine having a better time. Honestly.
When you think of beautiful people, you always think of the celebrities in the world....but after Buddy Camp, you realize that the most beautiful people in the world are the ones sitting around you. The campers are the most inspirational kids in the world and I think that I'm in love with them all. I can't even explain it but all I can say is that if you've been to Buddy Camp then you know exactly the feeling that I'm talking about.
It's this perfect little world....everyone loves unconditionally...there is no discrimination or judging or condeming....there is just love and God and JOY! :)
And now to come back to the real world, with all the pain and the sorrow and then hurt and the hate....it's quite a hard thing to adjust back to. I am completely in awe of not only the campers, but the buddies as well. Everyone has something so special and so wonderful to give to these kids....they put aside their own personal problems and worries and pain to give the campers the best week of the year. So many of the buddies give me hope and give me faith in this world and in this life that God will be with us no matter what and that he will never foresake us. I love you guys all so much.
If everyone in the world could experience what we do at Buddy Camp and could feel how we feel with those kids and each other, it'd be like spreading a little piece of heaven all over.
Oh and one more thing....
I've got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart. Where? Down in my heart. Where? Down in my heart. I've got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart. Where? Down in my heart to stay. And I'm so happy so very happy, I've got the love of Jesus in my heart. And I'm so happy so very happy, I've got the love of Jesus in my heart.
Can you imagine Meghan, Jordan Jackson and me dancing around in silly costumes, clapping and singing this at the top of our lungs? Well if you can, then this is just an idea of how much fun camp is and how amazing this whole experience is to all of us.
