Completed: A Snowden Rite Of Passage

Jun 02, 2009 16:09

My family is not one steeped in tradition...my first beer with my family is far far before anything that could be considered a "you're a man now" type of celebration...
But today I finally completed the only tradition we have;

My first appointment with a dermatologist for skin cancer and a visual confirmation (sent for biopsy) of one basal cell carcinoma and a nodular tumor that is more than likely benign that was also sent off for biopsy. The nice thing is the BCC, which is on my neck, is still very small and should easily be removed. The nodular tumor is on my nose.

So I have joined the club of 30% of Caucasians and 100% of the last 3 previous generations of my family.

...Woo...Hoo?
