A better body through... video games?

The temperature is not going to get above fifty degrees today. I know I said I was going to tough out the cooler weather, but that was before I realized I have nothing warm to run in. Yet. Yes, I'm a wuss.

So, WiiFit to the rescue.

I jogged in place - not walk-jogged, but jogged! - for twenty minutes. Broke a bigger sweat than I have in quite some time.

My legs felt fine, and still do. The new shoes, they work.

I'm doing some light housework; that'll round out the day.

Tomorrow, if the temperature gets above oh, say, forty-five degrees before ten AM, I'll go out to see if I can push myself even farther. If not, I'll do some strength training so I don't plateau. I'm getting wobbly upper arms (I saw a comic strip call it "Bingo arms" this morning), and I want to tone them up. I'm talking First Lady toned.

I can already tell a difference. My pants are fitting better, my stomach's a bit flatter, and my stamina has increased. Can't wait for an opportunity to prove to everybody (including myself) that I can accomplish a 5K.

Okay, time to go see how my hair looks. Put in a new color (medium golden brown) today...
