I use to be all "OMG WEEKEND MUST. HAVE. WINE."
Now I'm all "Hey, my feet hurt from work, I could use a couple glasses of wine."
But of course, our wine glasses are puffectly huh-yooge, and Andy poured the first glass (nearly to the gorramed brim), so of course I'm happy right now.

Mom's Neighbors were interested in buying Lady Sally Version 1.0 (who recovered from her near-drowning soon after I got her successor) from us not too long ago. When Neighbor Girl had her laptop die on her, they decided they needed Lady Sally Senior sooner rather than later. (As Neighbor Lady said, "My kid needs to get back on MySpace so she can get out of MyFace!")
So they came over to pick up Original Recipe Lady Sally and re-visit Amanda and JJ. Remember, these are the people we got the kittens from.
They were awestruck. Amanda looks almost exactly like Mama Cat, and JJ was a huge flirt. Of course, both of them would be on their best behavior when we have company. Amanda allowed herself to be worshiped, and JJ flirted his tail off.
Cats are just like kids. I am reminded of myself cooing at a baby girl, and just as her mom said "you never met a more serious baby", she burst into a blue-ribbon smile.
So. I'm ready to go to bed, curl up with a good book ("Anne of Avonlea" if you want to join the book club), and be ignored by the feline members of our family...
