In which Elbie searches for a silver lining, really.

I'm getting ready for my accounting test tomorrow. Eep.

She's allowing a piece of paper (written, typed, whatever, as long as it's the size of a sheet of notebook paper) for us to use during the test. I might have to start over and write smaller.

I have the bonus homework questions done - ten bonus points, yay. It might mean the difference between a D and a C or, worse case, an F and a D. I won't hope for better, so if it does happen I'll be surprised.

I've been studying/writing/sweating for almost two hours. Time for a break and a glass of wine.

Mom called. An elderly neighbor of hers wants to see Mickie tomorrow after I get off work.

Said elderly neighbor has been one of Mickie's best friends since birth.

He also has esophageal cancer. Again.

Plus, a co-workers' husband collapsed twice, lost sensation in his arms, and refused to go to the emergency room*, so she was out all day trying to get an appointment to their doctor. Not a bad thing, per se: her kids are good when you give them something to do besides run around, so we "went on a bear hunt" about four times this morning.

*-I don't know if it's because of his gender or his religion that he was that way. I feel bad about snarking religion, but gender oddities - on both sides - are fair play for me...

If I think about it too much, I'll get emo, so I won't too much. After all, I have tests to study for...

Oh, what the hell:

HAPPY ENDINGS

1. Microeconomics test got postponed to Friday due to my prof being distracted this week.

2. Twenty-five minutes on the treadmill this morning - about a mile and a half, 130+ calories burned - while I studied for a test that hasn't happened yet.

3. The usually shy brothers in above mentioned co-worker's room are opening up to me. They have great smiles.

4. No drama at work between me and a certain co-worker that's out of her tree.

5. I've studied for accounting, and will again soon.

6. Weather? Beautiful.

I can hunt for others, but this entry is almost long enough for people to complain about.

studying, grades, school, work, happy endings, tests
