Chill out! I'll get my quiz started after this post.

I entertained the thought of moving away from Enid if a great job offered itself elsewhere.

I was thinking about the Dallas area. Not Dallas itself; that would probably kind of suck my soul bit by bit. But one of the outlying areas that are a stone's throw from the metro area would be ideal. Plus, we'd have places to go on the weekends, including Six Flags, Cowboy Stadium (I would be the lone dissenter, but what the hell), Rangers Ballpark (I'd go for the hot dogs and pretty grounds), the Cotton Bowl (OU-Texas football!)...

There's just two things keeping me in Enid: Mom and Dad. The thought of moving five hours away from Mom moved me to tears, and I don't think she wants to go anywhere without Dad. I'd have to convince her to move with us, and bring Dad along, and that'd be a big ol' PITA.

Thing is, if not for Dad (and maybe Twiggy's Resting Place), Mom might be up for a move. She's feeling stale as well. Has been for a while. She's too young to retire (she'll be the first one to tell you that, with a hint of a grin), so she would want to keep working.

And I don't know if a move wouldn't kind of disturb Mickie. She actually likes it here - wants to graduate from Enid High like I did, wants to go to NOC like I am.

Here I go, putting the cart before the horse again. Need to graduate (read: effing pass accounting) before I can think about my next move.

My hair is getting grayer and grayer.

Mom has been going gray for some time now - she grays from front to back.

Daddy was salt-and-pepper in his early thirties (which is as far as he got, sadly). He grayed early.

Somehow, the gray hair genes of both my parents got together, got married, and had a gene kid that's now kicking in.

I'm starting to get gray streaks all over. With my reddish highlights (hi, Irish blood!), I'm salt-and-pepper-and-paprika.

Oh, joy.

If we get out of the house today - big if, seeing as my quiz remains untouched - I'll have to get a box of hair coloring.

I'll quit covering my gray hair up when it looks dignified - right now, it looks kind of silly.

Okay. Five questions answered on the quiz, then I can get dressed. A few more, then lunch. By the time Mickie gets home from Watonga, perhaps it'll be half done.

*kicks willpower in the butt in the hopes to get it going*
