Hey, y'all, did you hear that the US Army raided parts of Pakistan Wednesday?
Yeah, neither did I. Between Sarah Palin's grandbaby-daddy-and-mama-drama and New Orleans being missed by Hurricane Gustav by thatmuch, it must've fallen between the cracks. Funny - you'd think with the RNC in full swing that this newest development in the War On Terror(R)(TM)(C) would be front-page news.
But no. I wonder if the fact that Pakistan is all "HEY! Get off our turf, you damn Yankees!" has anything to do with it.
I have a bad feeling about this. We could seriously step on some major toes and cause even more tensions between the United States and the Rest of the World (which, I understand, doesn't have anything against us as individuals, but holds a real distrust towards the current administration and can't help but distrust the typical Joe Average on Holiday Overseas). We could be looking down the barrel of WWIII (again - we've had a few close shaves over the past fifty years, if you stop to think about it)...
Or, we can really screw up and trip over Osama Bin Ladin and watch the Grand Old Party gloat about it all their way to November, in which case... Do you think the typical Canadian would have problems understanding an Oklahoma accent?
