See what happens when I stop talking about things and actually do them?

To make up for the half-hour break I got yesterday, I got a 90-minute break today.

So, I went to the college to apply.

And to enroll.

OMG YOU GUYS I'M AN ENROLLEE. I'LL BE A STUDENT ON AUGUST 18. OMGOMGOMG... I FORGOT TO GET A T-SHIRT AT THE BOOKSTORE.

My classes are thus:

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday - Intro to Business at 9 AM, Business Tech and Applications at 10.

Tuesday and Thursday - Macroeconomics at 9:30, Accounting I at 11, Band on Tuesdays starting at 6:15 PM.

I have the same prof for all but one of my classes (Acct I), and I'm told he's a "Teddy Bear". I get along best with "Teddy Bears". They're kind of like being taught by my Papa Joe.

AND... I might do the concurrent enrollment thing at the university I'll be getting my bachelor's at, because they offer scholarships to 'double-dippers'. That's something I'll have to put my think on about.

This has been an interesting morning. Watched the news and saw babies in India being dropped from a 50-foot building for luck (I guess if they survived that, they're lucky!). Then went to the grocery store for the pro-tem cook and saw a G.O.U.S (Gentleman Of Unusual Size) come in with his own music (Conway Twitty) on a boom box, which he put in the basket of the motorized cart while he cashed a check and shopped. Only in Enid Oklahoma, y'all.

And now, I'm enrolled in college for the first time in nearly ten years and starting the road to vocational and financial pleasure (I hope).

To Do This Weekend: Tri-State Parade tomorrow morning, maybe Grand Concert that afternoon, fill out FAFSA (probably as soon as tonight!), figure out way to tell BossCouple that I'm starting to saw away at the apron strings they got on me. (I might wait until a little later this summer, or I might do it next week. That's going to be the toughest part of this, and something inside me says it'll be either easier than I think or become a situation where words are crossed and I walk out in disgust. Either way kind of works, I just wish I could ensure minimal drama.)

enid ok, tri-state, squee, work, scholarships, college
